FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What Kind Of Hair Is It?
Enchant By Geminishi hair extensions are made from 100% Remi® Human Hair. It is made with Chinese, Brazilian, or Indian origins. Each extension is ethically and voluntarily sourced and one of the highest grades on the market today. Remi hair still possesses the cuticle layer, which is the outermost part of the hair strand; it resembles shingles on a roof. All remi hair has the cuticle layer of the hair flowing in the same direction, flowing the way it would naturally. The cuticle layer is important when concerned with hair tangling, longevity of the use and how well the hair shines. When the cuticle layer is intact and lying flat, the hair is capable of reflecting light, so that the hair shines. Virgin hair refers to hair that is completely unprocessed, and intact. To qualify as virgin hair, it must meet rigorous standards including: not been permed, dyed, colored, bleached, chemically processed in any way. This also means it comes from a single donor, and all the cuticles are intact, running in the same direction.
  • Can I Use Heat?
Hair Extensions are 100% Remi human hair and can be styled exactly like your own natural hair. We recommend applying a heat protectant spray prior to using styling tools such as blow dryers, flat irons, curling irons, and etc. to maintain the quality of your Enchant By Geminishi Extensions. We also advise a lower heat setting when using styling tools to prolong the life of the hair. Lastly, make sure to avoid direct heat or contact on the application areas via tape/bond to help ensure the longevity of the installation.
  • What About Shedding  & Tangling?
Slight shedding and tangling is normal for all hair extensions. You may experience shedding differently base on which installation method, texture of the extensions, and hair product you use. You can minimize shedding/hair-fallout, by maintaining your hair extensions with great care, make sure to brush them before and after use. As for tangling, just like your natural hair, hair extensions can and may tangle. Tangling can be cause by many reasons. Humid weather, using the wrong hair products, not enough maintenance, or using heat tools without heat protective products can cause tangling over time. To minimize tangling you can start with brushing your hair extension 2-3 times with a detangling brush. Make sure any hair product you use is alcohol-free, sulfate-free, and paraben-free. These chemicals can dry out your hair extension which lead to tangling and matting. Make sure to use heat protective spray before styling with any heat tools. Develop a good night time routine. Brush your hair and put into a braid or a loose ponytail, you can also wear a silk cap before going to bed. Treat your hair extension like your own hair, maintenance is the key to have long lasting hair extension.
  • How Many Bundles Should I Order?
The key to determining how many bundles to purchase depends on the lengths you are wanting. As all bundles are the same weight (3.3oz), the longer bundles have shorter wefts, and the shorter bundles have longer wefts. For a full sew-in, we recommend 3-4 bundles of hair. For lengths over 18”, we recommend ordering 4-5 bundles of hair. If you desire an install with a lot of volume, you will need 4-5 bundles or 4 bundles with a closure. A closure is a great addition to your install, as you will have no leave-out. This is considered a full protective style, and none of your hair will be exposed.
